My overall experience with renting with Europcar was good (I booked through a third party). The only thing is, on the booking confirmation it stated an address which was confusing, there are 2 Europcars in Faro, one at the Airport and one on the street to the airport, for me it was the second one. When I went to the first one, an employee was kind enough to bring me to the other one. The scooter itself was as promised, the PCX that I booked. It already had some damages but that doesn't matter, you fill in a form before with the employee to make sure you won't have to pay after, for damages you didn't make. I had unlimited mileage. I paid with my creditcard, they held a €300 deposit and when I brought back the motorbike, it got refunded within 2 days! A good experience overall. The staff at Europcar was also nice to me, no problems at all. Finally, people here talk about getting costs after a few weeks. The employee informed me about these costs. If you go on the highway outside of the Algarve, there will be additional toll costs that need to be paid. This has nothing to do with extra costs from Europcar.
