I am a vegetarian, and Santiago went above and beyond to ensure I was always well-fed, energized, and taken care of—finding great meals, carrying snacks and drinks, and checking in constantly to make sure we were comfortable and rested. On days when weather conditions changed or I wasn’t ready for a technical enduro loop, he seamlessly adjusted the plan—finding alternate routes, better conditions, or reshuffling the itinerary so that I still had an incredible experience without pressure. What makes Santiago truly special is that he shares more than roads and routes—he shares life, perspective, kindness, and joy. His conversations, stories, and genuine presence are something we’ve carried back with us, along with unforgettable memories. He is someone we will stay connected with for life.
