Touching down at Durrës Airport puts you right near Albania's second largest city. While the coast and port are the biggest draws, the city has antiquities and nightlife worth seeing too. Berat, known as the "Town of a Thousand Windows", is a short ride away. As is Kruja with its historic Ottoman bazaar.
