Hiring a motorbike in Timguert

There are hardly any places left of the planet that are quite as exotic in the way that Morocco is, and a city that’s going to take you back hundreds of years while still managing to be effortlessly cool and modern without even trying - Agadir. Without a doubt, the best way to truly experience this and the surrounding areas is with a motorcycle. Hit by a terrible earthquake in 1960 which destroyed most of the city, King Mohammed V said "If Destiny decided the destruction of Agadir, its rebuilding depends on our Faith and Will." This means a modern city with fabulous bars, restaurants, interesting architecture, and golden sand beaches that are the pride of North Africa. The city is served by Agadir airport about 15 miles away, or Marrakech airport (the bigger of the two and a major international airport in Morocco), just over 100 miles away. The city has something of a ‘dated’ feel, but that sets it apart from Casablanca, Rabat, or Fez. Arabic, French, and English mix effortlessly giving the city instant chic appeal and for a Muslim country, you’ll find a casino and a gay bar within walking distance from a mosque - but discretion remains the order for the day, so take care. Restaurants with fusion food influenced by North African and European influences beckon, with thrilling bars and nightlife and if you’re of the more intrepid type, get on your motorcycle rental and head to Marrakech for a day (or overnight for that matter) trip that will take you through the desert and invoke all sorts of Lawrence of Arabia imagery in your head.
